Leading international project advisory firm WT today announced the appointment of Heidi Mitchell as Chief Executive Officer of WT Australia, effective 1 August 2026.
Ms Mitchell has served as WT’s Chief Operating Officer since 2023, leading and scaling the firm’s national operations and chairing its National Leadership Team in Australia. In that time, she worked closely with the Board and leadership team to set a new company strategy and relaunch WT’s values, laying the foundations for a significant growth agenda.
Phil Anseline, Executive Director at WT, said the appointment reflected both WT’s momentum and Ms Mitchell’s leadership.
“Heidi has been central to shaping WT’s strategy and the strength of our business in Australia today,” Mr Anseline said. “Appointing her as CEO marks an important step in WT’s next phase of growth. She has the vision, the operational discipline and the trust of our people and clients to take WT forward as a leading project advisory firm in a rapidly changing world.”
Ms Mitchell said she was energised by the opportunity ahead.
“WT is a forward-thinking firm that is ready to invest in its future, and that is exactly what drew me here,” Ms Mitchell said. “Our clients are navigating real change, and our job is to empower them to grow with confidence. By investing in innovation and digital capability, and combining that with the independent commercial advice and inventive thinking WT is known for, we can deliver even more sustainable value across the projects that shape our built environment.”
“We have some of the best commercially-minded people supporting the planning, delivery and operation of some of the best and biggest projects in Australia right now. The opportunities ahead of us are genuinely exciting, and I am looking forward to leading WT into this next chapter.”
