Cushman & Wakefield WA Industrial Team Ranked No. 1 in Australia

Cushman & Wakefield’s Western Australian Logistics & Industrial team has been ranked the leading industrial brokerage team in Western Australia for the first half of 2026, according to MSCI Global Broker Rankings data, reinforcing the team’s position at the forefront of one of the country’s strongest-performing industrial markets.

The result comes as Perth continues to outperform other Australian industrial markets, with vacancy remaining at just 2.2 per cent in Q3 2026, the lowest of any major industrial market nationally, while leasing demand remains well above historical averages. Approximately 275,000 sqm of industrial space was leased across Perth during 2026 to date, underpinned by strong economic growth, population expansion and sustained investment from the resources sector.

According to MSCI’s H1 2026 analysis, Cushman & Wakefield’s WA Logistics & Industrial team secured the top position when brokerage activity was analysed by state and sector, highlighting the strength of the firm’s market-leading platform and local expertise.

Tony Iuliano, International Director, Head of Logistics & Industrial ANZ at Cushman & Wakefield, said the ranking reflected the team’s deep market knowledge and consistent delivery for clients across Western Australia.

“The WA industrial market continues to stand out nationally due to its combination of strong economic fundamentals, limited supply and sustained occupier demand. Achieving the number one ranking in the MSCI Global Broker Rankings is a testament to the quality of our people, the strength of our client relationships and our ability to execute across both leasing and capital markets.”

“While industrial markets across the country have become more challenging, Perth continues to benefit from exceptionally low vacancy, tight supply conditions and a diverse range of occupiers seeking quality industrial accommodation. Our team has been well positioned to help clients capitalise on these market dynamics.”

Perth’s industrial market remains characterised by constrained supply, particularly across core logistics precincts. Underlying vacancy is estimated to be even tighter than headline figures suggest, sitting at just 1.6 per cent when large sublease opportunities are excluded from the calculation. Prime rents have increased 3.5 per cent over the past year to an average of $175 per sqm, outperforming the national average.

Nick Goodridge, National Director, Head of Brokerage, Logistics & Industrial WA at Cushman & Wakefield, said the ranking reflected the depth of experience within the WA team and the long-term collaboration that’s sits behind it.

“Western Australia has emerged as one of the most sought-after industrial markets in the country. Occupiers continue to compete for a limited pool of quality assets, while investors remain attracted to Perth’s low vacancy, rental growth prospects and relative yield advantage over the east coast.”

“This recognition reflects our team’s long-term understanding of the WA market. Decades of experience, through multiple cycles, allows us to guide clients through increasingly complex real estate decisions.”

“What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to each other and to exceeding client expectations as one team. We’re incredibly proud of this award, but more importantly, of what we’ve delivered for our clients.”

The MSCI ranking follows a period of strong activity in Perth’s industrial sector, where transaction volumes surged during Q3 2026 and are on track to record the strongest annual result since 2022. At the same time, limited new supply and continued occupier demand are expected to keep market conditions firmly weighted in favour of landlords through the remainder of the year.
