Would I Struggle to Pay a Major Expense?

Half of Australians say they would struggle to pay an unexpected large bill. 
 
In February, the Resolve Political Monitor survey found 41% of respondents said they would struggle to meet an unexpected major expense. By July, this had climbed ten percentage points to 51%. 
 
As more consumers feel the financial pressure, what implications would it have on the broader economy?
