Diversified property developer Perri Projects has signed two cornerstone tenants at its new $130 million Lennon Mills industrial precinct in West Melbourne confirming high demand for their innovative offering.
Luxury automotive manufacturer Genesis Motors and a major global medical and life sciences group will occupy major tenancies at the new precinct featuring a mix of high-tech commercial offices, creative workspaces, and warehouses.
Lennon Mills will be home to a diverse range of businesses such as life sciences, advanced manufacturing, last mile logistics, and digital and creative business services in spaces ranging from 200sqm to 4,000sqm. The site will also host award winning hospitality company Talisman Group’s new flagship venue, Silo Nine.
Speaking at the official launch of Lennon Mills, Managing Director of Perri Projects David Scalzo, said the strong interest in Lennon Mills reflected the market’s growing demand for modern industrial spaces featuring an open-plan design equipped with high-grade commercial amenities powered by rooftop solar.
“Our new precinct offers tenants an integrated work-life balance boasting modern end-of-trip facilities, a rooftop terrace, a gym, and an onsite food and beverage retailer,” said Mr Scalzo. “Lennon Mills is superbly located within 1km of the Port of Melbourne, 2km from Melbourne’s CBD, and 100m from South Kensington train station providing tenants with easy access to critical freight corridors and public transport options.
“Unlike traditional industrial precincts, our site also offers significant lifestyle benefits for staff such as close proximity to JJ Holland Park, recreational spaces, restaurants, bars, cafes, and convenience services.
Mark Harrison, Managing Director of Wingate and project partner on Lennon Mills, said we believe that industrial assets and estates in these critical locations, with this type of truly innovative amenity for customers and employees, will provide a strong, resilient platform for investment in this cycle.
Connal Yan, Head of Genesis Motors Australia, said Genesis Motors Australia remains committed to top-tier customer service, and we thank Perri Projects for bringing our vision of the Genesis Service Centre to life.”
The Lennon Mills precinct was officially launched by the Lord Mayor of Melbourne, Sally Capp AO.
