Brisbane, Australia – Knight Frank has expanded in Queensland to seven offices statewide, establishing a presence on the Sunshine Coast with a new franchise office.

Boutique commercial property agency Luxe Commercial, which has been operating in the region since 2015 and is headed up by experienced agent Chris Sales, will rebrand to Knight Frank.

The agency will consist of a team of six people, including agents Matthew Beaumont and Isaac Jurgs, Shannan Murphy in property management, General Manager Brianne Mayne and Executive Assistant Lisa Korrelvink.

Knight Frank Sunshine Coast will provide services across all the commercial property sectors including industrial, retail, office, medical and development sites in sales, leasing and asset management.

The office is currently located at Level 5, 8 Maroochydore Road in Maroochydore, in the heart of the Sunshine Coast.

Knight Frank’s Sunshine Coast franchise will cover an expansive area, from the central Sunshine Coast right up north to Maryborough, west to Toowoomba and south to Brisbane.

Knight Frank Queensland Managing Director Dominic Long said the firm was excited about establishing a presence on the Sunshine Coast to complement its existing strong franchise network in Queensland, which includes offices in Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Cairns, Townsville, Mackay and Rockhampton.

“The Sunshine Coast has experienced huge growth in recent years, and there is more to come,” he said.

“This has created great opportunities in the commercial property market, which is seeing increased demand from occupiers and investors. “Chris is a very experienced and skilled operator, with more than 15 years’ experience in the industry, and having established his own commercial agency more than nine years ago.

“He is also very highly regarded as an agent in the region and has extensive networks both locally and nationally.

“We are excited to welcome Chris and the team to Knight Frank, and expand our Queensland presence to the Sunshine Coast.”

Knight Frank Sunshine Coast Managing Director Chris Sales said he was looking forward to working within the Knight Frank brand, which would enable the office to expand its services.

“We’re excited to scale our already successful agency to the next level with a global brand that has strong coverage throughout the world as well as nationally,” he said.

“Demand for commercial property services on the Sunshine Coast continues to strengthen, largely driven by major infrastructure projects.

“Our valued clients will benefit from Knight Frank’s wide network, with access to a greater number of buyers and tenants complementing the personalised service we provide.

“It will also provide both our clients and team with the access to more knowledge, expertise and support that comes from having offices all around Australia and internationally.

“The backing of a global brand will also be beneficial in attracting and retaining the right talent to service our valued clients.”

The Knight Frank Sunshine Coast office opening follows the recent announcement that Knight Frank, together with New Zealand-based Bayleys, finalised their joint acquisition of a controlling stake in Australian residential real estate group McGrath by way of a scheme of arrangement.
