The Freehold Going Concern of the Lucinda Point Hotel Motel has hit the market, with buyers expected to jump at the strategically located asset.

The Lucinda Point Hotel Motel located at 6 Keast Street, with dual street frontage to Dungeness Road, is being offered for sale through Savills.

Lucinda is a coastal town and locality in the Shire of Hinchinbrook in North Queensland. A commercial fishing destination and sugar-exporting town, Lucinda is known for its six kilometre long jetty, which is the longest jetty in the southern hemisphere and the world’s largest bulk sugar loading facility.

National Director at Savills, Leon Alaban said, Lucinda attracts repeat business from locals as well as visitors to the area, due to its prime fishing and holiday location.

The area is a massive destination for self-drive tourism markets with Lucinda located a two* hour drive north of Townsville and a three* hour drive south of Cairns.

Located directly opposite Lucinda is the breathtaking World Heritage listed Hinchinbrook Island, a pristine natural wilderness home to the famous Thorsborne Trail, internationally rated one of the top 10 walks on the planet. From Lucinda you can embark on a Hinchinbrook safari and explore the Island’s mist-shrouded mountains, waterfalls and freshwater pools.

The Hotel is situated on a large 4,056 sqm* site, located ideally in the centre of Lucinda with easy access to the Bruce Highway.

Alaban said, “The asset comes with exceptional goodwill from the loyal local and visitor clientele, and in recent years has experienced major capital injection with renovations throughout as well as the construction of new accommodation villas with the total improvement costs circa $3.5 million.

“The recent addition and improvements provide an incoming operator the opportunity to further capitalise on the venue’s revenue growth. Furthermore, the current owner has successfully been granted the approval to operate 10 gaming machines, subject to purchase and installation.”

The Hotel features a Public Bar (TAB), Restaurant and Alfresco Area, Beer Garden (also utilised as a Function Area), Accommodation (Six (6) Motel Rooms and Ten (10) Villas), a Swimming Pool and Drive-Through Bottleshop.

EOI close Wednesday 16th of November, 2022 at 3pm (AEST).
