Commercial building firm, Rohrig Constructions has appointed a General Manager of business in New South Wales, cementing its commitment to delivering high-value projects across the state’s education, hospitality, health and aged care sectors.
Adam Ashcroft steps into the role with more than 25 years’ experience in building complex living and institutional projects throughout the state.
Mr Ashcroft has worked on projects ranging from $5 million to $250 million across build-to-rent, education, hospitality, affordable housing, seniors living and mixed-use residential.
Rohrig began operating in Queensland 35 years ago and has been completing high-quality projects in the New South Wales market for almost two decades.
Mr Ashcroft said he looked forward to elevating the firm’s reputation in New South Wales.
“Rohrig has delivered a range of excellent education and hospitality projects, particularly in Greater Sydney, but until now, it’s been carrying out that work as a quiet achiever.
“Rohrig is probably the New South Wales construction industry’s best kept secret, and part of my role will be to spread the word about its capabilities in complex delivery projects from the early planning stage to completion,” he said.
Rohrig Constructions Managing Director Glenn Rohrig said Mr Ashcroft’s expertise in live environment projects would be an enormous asset.
“So much of our work is with clients who simply can’t stop operations, including schools, hotels, clubs and medical facilities, and Adam understands what’s required when it comes to safety, staging and stakeholder management in those environments,” he said.
“Complex projects demand certainty and in this new role, we know Adam will bring practical advice and a disciplined approach to deliver the long-term quality projects that Rohrig is known for.”
Rohrig Constructions has recently completed a four-storey teaching and learning facility at William Clarke College in Sydney’s north-west to support the college’s growing student population.
The Bryson Building brings together a mix of spaces designed to support learning, collaboration and community.
It includes libraries for both Primary and Secondary students, a dedicated area for Stage 3 learners, flexible classrooms, a large multi-purpose hall, staff common rooms, faculty offices and a café.
The project also features a covered outdoor learning area that will give students more room to connect and learn in fresh air.
