SAP Welcomes SSDA Approval at Bankstown

Sydney Anglican Property (SAP) welcomes the NSW Government’s approval of its State Significant Development on the site of St Paul’s Anglican Church at Bankstown. Once constructed, the project is set to deliver 185 social and affordable housing units above brand new, fit-for-purpose church and community facilities.

SAP Chief Executive, Ross Jones, said the project has the potential to deliver significant benefits to not only the St Paul’s congregation, but the broader Bankstown community.

“St Paul’s has been serving the local community of Bankstown for generations and this project can open a new chapter in that relationship for generations to come,” Mr Jones said.

“With an approval now in place, we will work through the process of reviewing the consent conditions and their impact on the feasibility of the project and continue to work with the relevant authorities to enable construction to get underway.

“A huge amount of work from a wide range of stakeholders has gone into bringing the project to this point. We look forward to now being able to deliver for the people of Bankstown.”
