Wellness, amenity, and lifestyle to sparkle at The Brightly in Richmond
National property developer Goldfields has commenced construction on The Brightly – a $170m, 12 storey wellness and lifestyle-focused luxury apartment development located in the inner Melbourne suburb of Richmond.
Goldfields has partnered with Dexus Real Estate Partnership Fund 1 (DREP 1) as co-investor and delivery partner for their new benchmark residential address.
Representatives from Goldfields and Ironside officiated the celebration of The Brightly’s milestone achievement alongside the development and construction teams at a ceremonial ‘turning of the first sod’ held on site.
The Brightly will introduce a new standard for wellness, amenity, and lifestyle to inner Melbourne through the delivery of a thoughtfully designed apartment building that responds to the community’s evolving identity.
The Brightly will be home to 99, two-, three- and four-bedroom luxury apartments, including 19 exclusive sub-penthouses and penthouses, providing a home to suit every lifestyle.
Comfort and relaxation will feature prominently throughout, with residents enjoying access to a dedicated wellness sanctuary featuring a warm magnesium pool, cold plunge, steam room, and sauna. Residents will also have exclusive access to landscaped rooftop spaces and a private dining space.
The commencement of The Brightly, with an experienced development and construction team, marks a significant milestone for Goldfields.
Goldfields Chief Executive Officer, Lachlan Thompson, said Goldfields is excited to be delivering a considered collection of residences designed to enhance everyday living in Melbourne’s Inner East.
“The commencement of construction marks an exciting milestone in transforming the vision for The Brightly into a completed residential address,” said Mr Thompson.
“Our strong partnerships developed over the last 15 years with renowned builders, architects, designers, and landscapers will ensure we deliver an exceptional residential address for those seeking the very best of Melbourne living.
“The Brightly will be a sanctuary for relaxation and liveability with careful thought given to every element of the building’s design. All 99 apartments are individually curated with refined interiors and premium amenity woven throughout.
“By drawing on Richmond’s vibrant mix of culture and hospitality, we’ve combined a lifestyle centred on wellness. Its proximity to Melbourne’s sports and entertainment precinct, the CBD, parks, and public transport makes it a prime location for both young professionals and those seeking a lifestyle change. What we’ve created is something remarkable – it’s real, it’s Richmond, and it’s refined.
“The Brightly’s architecture and interiors have been expertly crafted by award-winning designers Cera Stribley, who have drawn inspiration from the surrounding area, using the flowing form of the train lines to shape the façade, and a mixture of grit and elegance that honours Richmond’s industrial heritage.
“Life for residents at The Brightly will include exclusive dining experiences incorporating a private dining room and a rooftop garden lounge, with ground-floor retail which seamlessly integrates with the area’s local character.
Leading Victorian multi-residential construction company Ironside was appointed as The Brightly’s builder in February. Ironside brings a wealth of experience in delivering residential projects across Melbourne, with a focus on quality, collaboration, and enduring outcomes.
Ironside Managing Director, Luke Skurrie, said Ironside is proud to be appointed as the construction partner for The Brightly and to commence delivery of this landmark residential development.
“The project reflects a shared commitment between Goldfields, Dexus, and Ironside to delivering a high-quality building that responds to its Richmond setting,” he said.
Located at 9-15 Brighton Street, The Brightly connects residents with Richmond’s celebrated dining, retail, cultural and sporting precincts, including Swan Street, Church Street, Richmond Station, the MCG, and the Yarra River.
Onsite demolition is complete, with The Brightly set to officially launch to market in November.
