ESR Appoints CBRE as National FM Partner

Leading APAC real asset owner and manager ESR has announced a long-term facilities management (FM) partnership for its Australian portfolio with CBRE, reinforcing the group’s commitment to delivering high quality customer experience.

ESR appointed CBRE after a detailed tender process. The milestone, five-year partnership marks the first time since ESR’s establishment in Australia that the group has entered a national, long-term FM services agreement.

The partnership involves the majority of ESR’s Australian properties, equating to 250 predominantly industrial & logistics assets in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.

“CBRE’s appointment will provide ESR customers with greater certainty, consistency and transparency in facilities management delivery, supporting long-term asset performance,” said ESR Australia & New Zealand’s Head of Asset Management, Robert Ewing.

Key benefits include:

  • Improved customer experience through consistent portfolio service standards
  • Operational reliability and resilience, reducing service variability and risk
  • Proactive asset management, supporting building performance and up time
  • Scalable delivery model aligned with ESR’s growth strategy
  • Strong local leadership, supported by CBRE’s national and global expertise

It is the latest win for CBRE’s Investor Portfolio Management business, leveraging the scale, agility, resources and purchasing power of CBRE, as well as its deep experience with operating large property portfolios.

“This partnership is the next chapter in a long-standing alliance with ESR built on trust, delivery and shared ambition. Across Australia, we’re bringing a whole of CBRE commitment aligned to ESR’s ambition – focused on measurable outcomes, better customer experience and assets that perform,” said Natalie Slessor, CBRE’s Asia Pacific Executive Managing Director, Property Management.
