Construction Gets Underway at Harbourfront Restoration Project, Putney Wharf

Joint venture partners, Abadeen and PERIFA, part of Versatile Group, alongside Phoenix Property Investors and Mitsubishi Estate Asia celebrated the start of construction recently on their $350 million Putney Wharf mixed-use project with Versatile Groupâs construction division, Versatile Construction taking part in the formal occasion.
The waterfront masterpiece has achieved a resounding sales result securing $170 million in apartment sales with the majority of the initial launch now sold. Further releases of the townhouses and residences will occur later in 2025 with interested purchasers registering now.
The development team welcomed City of Ryde Mayor Trenton Brown to the milestone celebration, which began with a traditional Welcome to Country.
The landmark heritage adaptive reuse site boasts 300 metres of waterfrontage on the harbour at Putney in Sydneyâs northwest, 14km from the CBD.
Located on the historic site of the former Halvorsenâs boatshed, Putney Wharf will comprise a premium, lifestyle-oriented, mixed-use wharf precinct including 67 luxury apartments and townhouses complemented by sophisticated waterfront dining and retail along with a 36-berth marina.

Designed by acclaimed local Sydney architects, SJB, in close collaboration with heritage consultants, Curio Projects, and landscape architects, Dangar Barin Smith, Putney Wharf, located at 20 Waterview Street along Putneyâs spectacular harbourfront, will offer three residential components:
- The Halvorsenâs Apartments. A full restoration of the heritage-listed Halvorsenâs Boatshed, comprising 19 oversized apartments: 17 three-bedroom and two four-bedroom residences.
