360 Capital Digital Fund to acquire European Data Centres

5 October 2020

360 Capital Digital Infrastructure Fund (TDI) has signed a conditional agreement to acquire the ETIX Everywhere edge data centre businesses located in France, Belgium and Colombia in a proposed $37.5m investment.

The assets include 100% ownership of 2 facilities in Europe and a 50% interest in another 6 facilities with existing joint venture partners.

Vantage acquired the Etix Everywhere platform from a group of previous investors including InfraVia, Tiger Infrastructure, SBI, STOA, and Keppel Data Centres in February this year for c.US$2billion. At that time, Etix had expanded its global network of data centers to a total of 12 facilities: 9 edge data centers and 3 HPC facilities with a further 5 being developed, including one hyperscale campus in Frankfurt.

Vantage and Etix are now focusing on developing Hyerscale Centres and have elected to sell their non core edge data centres which form the basis of the transaction with TDI.

The deal remains subject to a range of regulatory controls and pre-emptive rights of the existing co-owners. It is anticipated that completion of the transaction will occur during the first quarter of 2021.

360 Capital Digital Infrastructure Managing Director David Yuile said "he was pleased to acquire the portfolio of operating data centres and to work with an experienced management team led by Louis Blanchot".

“We believe data centres are the factories of the future and this platform will provide us growth opportunities especially in Europe and Latin America.”
