Colliers, on behalf of giant logistics property specialist LOGOS, have successfully pre-leased one of the upcoming warehouses to Signify. Colliers Industrial and Logistics National Director Adrian Balderston secured the tenancy.
Located at Moorebank Intermodal in Sydney’s South West, the area features 850,000 sqm of state-of-the-art warehousing facilities across a 243-hectare site and is stated as Australia’s largest intermodal precinct. Leasing one of these logistic assets represents a pull of opportunities and benefits, such as savings of intermodal carbon and electricity thanks to massive-scale solar installation or connecting to Australia’s substantial inland rail network, favouring unbridled supply chain benefits.
LOGO’s engagement towards sustainability is shining throughout this vast and ambitious project, where 100ha of biodiversity land is conserved, while 110,000 tCO2e (Tonnes of Carbon) transport emissions will be removed per year, amongst other sustainability strategic pillars. It made sense to welcome the 100 per cent carbon-neutral company, Signify.
Adrian Balderston, Colliers Industrial and Logistics National Director, comments: “Colliers are proud to see this new relationship between LOGOS and Signify coming to fruition. While LOGOS secures another like-minded entity helping shape Australia’s sustainable future, Signify establishes its new home with the 14,569 sqm warehouse at Moorebank Intermodal Precinct to expand its network in Australia,”
“Sydney Face rental growth over Q1 2024 across both prime and secondary assets is now more aligned to historical quarterly averages at 1.5% and 1.0% respectively, than the massive increases seen in 2022 and 2023,” Mr. Balderston adds.
