Hub Australia announces its milestone 10th Melbourne site with Hub Fitzroy

27 March 2024

Leading premium flexible workspace and building hospitality provider, Hub Australia has announced its milestone tenth Melbourne site in Fitzroy.

With such a substantial presence procured in Melbourne’s CBD, the business is now focusing on the strategic rollout of city fringe locations to bring premium workplace experiences closer to home and help businesses attract and retain the best talent.

In its first partnership with Australia’s leading award-winning developer Pellicano, Hub Fitzroy will occupy 1625 sqm across four floors at the One Smith Street development. Perfectly positioned to support the next-generation of modern-thinking professionals, the space is set to complement Fitzroy’s creative culture and provide the area with a truly premium workspace offering.

Hub strategically selected Melbourne as the first city to build their work-near-home workspace network in, with the city’s hybrid work routines cemented into the habits of residents. Melbourne workers are the most reluctant in Australia when it comes to returning to the CBD, spurring on inquiries with Hub Australia from businesses seeking close-to-home options for their teams or enterprises.

The Hub Fitzroy announcement follows the opening of Hub’s local site in Box Hill last year expanding the network in Melbourne’s suburbs, bringing premium workspaces to near to home locations. Fitzroy will also contribute to Hub’s city fringe offering which supports Melbourne’s arts and culture industries.

Brad Krauskopf, Chief Executive Officer at Hub Australia, said: “Hub Fitzroy marks a significant milestone for our business – our tenth Melbourne site to be announced and the expansion of our metropolitan network of flexible workspaces. With 15 sites across Australia, we’re supporting businesses that are looking for a mix of diverse workplaces in key locations in- and around the CBD. Hub is investing in developing thriving and well-connected city fringe locations to meet market demand and enable our customers to continue to attract and retain the best talent.

“Businesses are ultimately turning their attention on redefining their workspace offering to maximise work/life balance for employees. It’s no longer about drawing people into the office; employers are now focused on retaining staff and creating the ultimate workplace experience. Hub’s near to home locations provide the backdrop for businesses to provide this great level of detail and also a benchmark for the future of work.

Nando Pellicano at Pellicano said: “We see co-working as a key ingredient across many of our business parks and mixed-use projects. To have Hub, one of Australia’s leading operators in this space, commit to our One Smith Street development is a great endorsement for the project.

“Located on the corner of Smith Street and Victoria Parade, we see the project being within strategic proximity to many businesses that will benefit from someone like Hub being active in Fitzroy and are very excited to deliver this project with them.”
