Barwon Investment Partners expands its investment in mental health hospitals

Barwon Investment Partners is furthering its commitment to mental health by opening a state-of-the-art 63-bed private hospital in the inner northern Brisbane suburb of Windsor.

The mental health hospital, developed in collaboration with private mental health provider Avive Health, is the seventh dedicated mental health facility to be added to the Barwon Institutional Healthcare Property Fund (BIHPF).

Srimathi Iyengar, Portfolio Manager of BIHPF at Barwon, said: “The opening of this hospital represents an incredible milestone, and it is a truly rewarding achievement for our team.

With 63 single bedrooms, seven group therapy rooms, 10 consulting suites, a dedicated fitness studio, a rooftop deck, and patient lounge areas, the facility incorporates the latest health design principles, technology-integrated care, and trauma-aware programs.

The facility offers comprehensive services, including inpatient treatment, day patient programs, and outpatient consultations for various mental health conditions, including anxiety and mood disorders, drug and alcohol use disorders, early life trauma, and adult trauma, including defence and emergency and first responders.
