Australian Unity Healthcare Acquire Private Hospital site in Terry Hills

The Australian Unity Healthcare Property Trust has acquired a 4 hectare site in Terry Hills to develop a new private hospital.

The Trust paid $8 million (plus acquisition costs) for the site at 4A Larool Rd, on the northern beaches region of metropolitan Sydney, some 25 kilometres from the CBD.

The Trust has committed $86 million toward the development of the private surgical and rehabilitation hospital. It will include 84 beds and 6 operating theatres providing high-end private surgery and treatment for people with cardio, vascular, spinal and orthopaedic needs. The hospital will include two levels of basement parking, physio areas, a hydrotherapy pool and pavilion-style buildings.

Hospital operator Wyvern Health Pty Ltd has signed a 30-year lease and major works agreement to develop and operate the hospital.

Construction is underway and scheduled for completion in mid-2023, when it will be known as Wyvern Private Hospital.
