Shepparton Housing Boost as Parkers Grove Estate Gets Underway
5 November 2026
National diversified developer Goldfields has commenced construction at Parkers Grove, its $205M, 650-lot master-planned community located in the heart of Shepparton.
The Mayor of Greater Shepparton, Cr Geoff Akers, joined Goldfields’ representatives and newly appointed civil construction partner Winslow to mark the milestone for Parkers Grove, officiating a ceremonial turning of the first sod at the site.
Parkers Grove is the first residential housing project to obtain a planning permit within the Shepparton South East PSP and will play a key role in helping address Shepparton’s housing affordability and supply challenges.
Located nine minutes from the heart of Shepparton and close to established schools, shops, and transport links, the master-planned community will host a 1ha centrally located community park, natural wetlands, and walking paths. A future government school, convenience centre, and open space sporting fields are planned for the site adjacent to Parkers Grove.
Goldfields National Director of Communities, Paul Cicchiello, said Parkers Grove would create a vibrant new community while contributing to housing affordability, easing local supply pressures, and generating hundreds of construction jobs.
“Parkers Grove will honour Shepparton’s rich heritage as Australia’s food bowl, carrying the legacy of this former pear orchard into a new chapter of regional growth and thriving community life,” Mr Cicchiello said.
“With our civil construction partner Winslow now on site, we look forward to rapidly progressing the delivery of Stage 1 for much needed new homes, while creating local jobs and supporting Shepparton’s continued growth.
“Early interest has been very encouraging, demonstrating strong market demand and confidence in the project.
“Parkers Grove reflects Goldfields’ long-term commitment to regional Victoria, with our investment in local amenity extending to include an upgrade to nearby Channel Road to improve traffic flow and enhance safety for the community.”
Parkers Grove Stage 1 is expected to title in Q3 2027.
