Leading Perth private residential and commercial property developer Aigle Royal Group has acquired six hectares of land in Jandakot, with the $7.1 million parcel slated for future housing.
Erwin Edlinger, founder and managing director of development specialist and end-to-end Perth property services firm Effective Property Solutions (EPS) acted as acquisition consultant, coordinating the strategic land assembly.
“It’s been a four-year journey to acquire 12 and 34 Peppworth Place, and 145 Solomon Road in Jandakot, so it’s particularly pleasing to see these properties officially settled,” said Mr Edlinger.
“This important acquisition sees Aigle Royal become the majority landowner in the Jandakot / Treeby precinct, allowing them to kickstart detailed planning and development.”
Mr Edlinger said the land would ultimately help increase housing supply in the growing southern suburb.
“Stockland’s now completed Calleya Estate, which lies directly adjacent to this precinct, proved to be in very high demand and this land assembly paves the way for more much-needed residential development within the popular City of Cockburn,” he said.
“We are proud to have coordinated the off-market process, including directly liaising with landowners through multiple rounds of offers and negotiations, and supporting due diligence and settlement.
“This precinct has been highly sensitive in nature historically due to the Jandakot Water Mound but once unlocked provides land and housing supply that is in seriously high demand.”
The precinct was one of only two approved localities out of 15 State Government Planning Investigation Areas identified to be progressed further from a planning perspective, aimed at preventing Perth’s urban sprawl increasing and to encourage development and housing within city limits.
