Mirvac has announced the completion of Quay, the newest residential building in its long-running Waterfront Newstead precinct in Brisbane.
The project delivers 135 apartments and more than 2,000 square metres of public parkland, extending access to green open space along the riverfront. Quay is the latest stage in the transformation of Newstead’s former industrial area into a mixed-use community, a redevelopment effort that has been underway for more than two decades.
With an estimated 75 per cent of apartments now occupied by owners, the building reflects the strong demand for inner-city living in Brisbane. Quay also joins other Mirvac developments in the area, including the recently opened LIV Anura build-to-rent community and Isle, which is currently under construction.
The Newstead program is being delivered in collaboration with the Queensland Government and Brisbane City Council, and is part of a broader strategy to increase housing supply while supporting urban renewal in established suburbs.
Quay is positioned as a continuation of Mirvac’s long-term masterplan in Newstead, a precinct that has already become home to thousands of residents and a growing mix of retail, hospitality and open space.
