Rising demand highlights Springwood’s emergence as key SEQ business hub
Industry association, Australian Childcare Alliance, has acquired a premium freehold office building in Springwood for $4 million, as demand intensifies for owner-occupied commercial properties in South East Queensland’s growing fringe markets.
Colliers Queensland expert Philip O’Dwyer facilitated the off-market sale of the 739sqm freehold property located at 6 Paxton Street in Springwood on behalf of Living Word Faith Ministries Inc.
Colliers Queensland Investment Services Associate Director Philip O’Dwyer said the transaction, that followed two earlier freehold office sales in Springwood conducted by Colliers, underscored the growing appetite for well-located commercial assets outside Brisbane’s CBD.
“This sale is a strong indicator of the deep and sustained demand for freehold commercial properties in Brisbane’s fringe markets, particularly from owner-occupiers,” Philip O’Dwyer said.
“Springwood is becoming increasingly attractive due to its strategic location and limited availability of quality stock. Many prospective buyers are still active in the market after missing out on previous opportunities in the area.
“The asset was sold with vacant possession and drew strong interest from businesses displaced by major infrastructure projects and roadworks, as well as those seeking a permanent base in a high-growth corridor.
“With strong fundamentals in place, we expect to see continued demand for quality commercial assets in key South East Queensland nodes like Springwood,” Philip O’Dwyer added.
Located just 21 kilometres south of the Brisbane CBD, the Logan area is forecast to grow by more than 138,000 residents by 2041. The region is benefitting from sustained investment in infrastructure, housing, and transport, making it an increasingly desirable destination for both businesses and investors.
The site features a 498sqm modern office building, a large auditorium, and 27 secure sub-basement car spaces, all situated on a prominent, centrally located block.
