Leading shoe- and leather-care product manufacturer Waproo is on the move in Melbourne, following a $4.88m purchase in Truganina.
Waproo has purchased 2 Delivery Drive, and will establish its new storage and distribution centre at the 4,880sqm site.
Upon the completion of its new facility, scheduled for Q3 2023, Waproo will relocate its Melbourne operation from Dandenong South.
Waproo will join the likes of Coles, Kmart, StarTrack, DHL, The Reject Shop, Amart Furniture and Lineage Logistics in Truganina.
The development-ready, corner property occupies a 140m frontage across Delivery Drive and National Drive, and offers easy access to the Western and Princes Freeways.
CBREās Fergus Pragnell, Blake Grewar, Ricardo Cappelletti and Lachlan May brokered the transaction on behalf of Andecon Developments.
āThe property provided a rare opportunity to develop and occupy in a sought-after location with a backlog of local demand, and Truganina suits Waprooās distribution model to the eastern seaboard in particular,ā Mr May said.
āDespite global macro-economical headwinds, owner-occupier demand is still strong for industrial property.
āCBRE has sold multiple titled blocks in recent weeks to owner occupiers, who have been priced out of the market in recent years by institutional groups.ā
