One of Australia’s leading disability accommodation providers, Youngcare, has committed to an entire floor at Brisbane’s Windsor Health Quarter, where it will deliver 10 purpose-built Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) apartments within the city’s newest integrated healthcare precinct.
The purpose-built, dedicated SDA level will be designed for people with high physical support needs and includes four one-bedroom apartments, six two-bedroom apartments and Onsite Overnight Assistance (OOA) options, with every residence featuring a private balcony and designed to meet High Physical Support NDIS SDA certification requirements. The commitment reflects growing national demand for suitable housing for NDIS participants, with the National Disability Insurance Agency projecting demand for Specialist Disability Accommodation to grow from around 22,900 participants nationally in 2022 to almost 36,700 by 2042.i

The seven-storey Windsor Health Quarter will provide more than 5,500sqm of purpose-designed healthcare space across six levels, with suites ranging from 70sqm consulting rooms through to whole-floor opportunities, available through both strata ownership and leasing arrangements.
