Works commence on highly anticipated new Chisholm neighbourhood

National developer AVID Property Group (AVID) recently broke ground on the latest neighbourhood in its Chisholm development, Waterford by AVID, laying the foundations for a much-anticipated new release.

AVID Development Manager Nathan Atkins and Development Assistant Jason Ke joined Robson Civil Project’s Project Manager Jack Chillingsworth onsite to celebrate the next chapter for Chisholm, which will bring more housing options and nearly 200 new land blocks to the area.

Many blocks in the Woodhaven neighbourhood will front an uninterrupted scenic bushland outlook and limited blocks will front picturesque wetlands, making it a popular choice for purchasers with AVID NSW Project Director Danny Boubli saying demand has remained steady since sales launched.

Mr Boubli said the new release, named ‘Woodhaven’, has come at the perfect time.

“Maitland has recently emerged as one of the top regional growth areas in New South Wales, so we see Woodhaven as a way to keep ahead of the wave of demand we’re anticipating.”

“I think this – in tandem with a recent increase in buyer confidence – has boosted interest in upcoming construction projects in the neighbourhood,” Mr Boubli said.

According to Mr Boubli, Woodhaven’s early works are a clear example of carefully aligned civil engineering, masterplanning, and construction in what is being described within the community as ‘rare earth’.

“We’ve been calling Woodhaven ‘rare earth’ not only because of the beautiful surrounds, but because of the considered planning and positioning right near the community entrance and numerous facilities. These blocks really represent Waterford’s best features – convenience and natural beauty.”

Bringing a mix of Waterford’s signature large blocks and more affordable smaller options ranging from 509sqm to over 1000sqm, Woodhaven will deliver an extra 150,000sqm (15 hectares) of housing to the region.

The new neighbourhood will include 240,000sqm (24 hectares) of green spaces adding to Waterford’s combined 74 hectares of greenspaces and waterways.
