For Sale: One of Australia’s Largest and Most Innovative Table Grape Enterprises
Talia Farms, one of the largest table grape enterprises in Australia, is set to attract significant global interest when it hits the market in the coming weeks. Investors and fresh produce operators are expected to seize the opportunity to secure a very significant table grape asset delivering premium table grape varieties targeted at key export markets.
US-based RRG Capital Management (RRG), a global alternative asset manager focused on sustainable food, agriculture, water, and energy, has appointed global property consultancy Colliers to manage the sale of its flagship Australian table grape operation, Talia Farms. The vertically integrated enterprise includes 230 hectares of premium grape varieties and a state-of-the-art packing facility in Lyrup, South Australia, located in the Riverland region.
Colliers’ National Director, Jesse Manuel, describes Talia Farms as a “turn-key horticultural operation newly developed to an exceptionally high standard. Featuring advanced technology, premium table grape varieties, and a robust business model, the enterprise is primed for long-term success.”
Talia Farms boasts a diverse mix of proprietary grape varieties tailored for export to Asia-Pacific markets during premium windows, offering unique competitive advantages in variety diversification and harvest timing.
RRG Capital Management, an experienced developer and manager of horticultural assets across Australia and North and South America, has meticulously planned and invested in Talia Farms. This work allows buyers to bypass years of development risks and capitalise on a cash-positive operation as the vines reach peak maturity. “Talia Farms is positioned for strong financial performance, with income on a growth trajectory,” said Mr Manuel.
The vineyard hosts 14 proprietary grape varieties, selected in collaboration with industry experts such as breeders, marketers, agronomists, and retail agents. Its cutting-edge packing facility leverages automated systems for same-day pick, pack, and dispatch, ensuring longer shelf life through rapid pre-cooling technology that lowers fruit temperature from 34.0°C to 0.5°C in just one hour.
Colliers’ National Director, Tim Altschwager added, “Talia Farms incorporates modern systems to minimize waste while meeting stringent export-market requirements. With established relationships in both domestic and international markets, Talia Farms’ focus on high-quality, high-performing varieties sets it apart from other producers, driving increasing demand.”
Adjacent to Talia Farms lies RRG’s neighbouring property, an expansive greenfield site, covering 594 hectares with approvals for horticultural development and soils suitable for almonds, citrus or table grapes. Together, these assets comprise the Talia sales opportunity which offers unparalleled operational efficiencies and scope for future growth.
Talia Farms & its neighbouring property will be offered for sale with International Expressions of Interest opening soon. This unique offering represents a rare chance to acquire an exceptional horticultural enterprise poised for continued success.
