The Rocks, a coveted cultural hub located at the foot of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, will soon be home to the notable ZAHLI Contemporary Middle Eastern Restaurant.
After outgrowing its space in Surry Hills which opened in 2014, ZAHLI decided to relocate and elevate the experience that ZAHLI is known for to a new dining destination within The Harrington Collection, an award-winning development by Hannas and Golden Age Group.
Recognised as one of the country’s most authentic Middle Eastern restaurants, ZAHLI quickly earned a reputation for transforming the modern Australian dining landscape and earned multiple local and global awards.
Reflecting the essence of authentic Lebanese cuisine in a fine dining experience, ZAHLI is largely inspired by founder Mohammad Issmail’s childhood memories of his mother’s cooking.
“ZAHLI is going through a transformation and Sydney is going to get a new dining destination like no other. We are so excited to be moving our world-class Lebanese cuisine to The Rocks on Sydney Harbour as part of The Harrington Collection. My vision is to offer a unique authentic Middle Eastern taste coupled with a very classy interior design,” said Mohammad.
Other confirmed tenancies within the newly completed retail offering of The Harrington Collection include an Italian restaurant and a luxury gift shop.
Designed by fjcstudio, The Harrington Collection is the only brand-new mixed-use development in the area, delivering contemporary living with premium retail and iconic characteristics of the historical neighbourhood. The project provides almost 2,000sqm of retail and commercial space across two levels, majority of which will have street frontage and stand-alone access.
Hannas CEO Danny Hanna said he is excited to welcome ZAHLI to The Harrington Collection, a restaurant he has known and loved since its opening in 2014.
“For over a decade, I’ve been a loyal customer of ZAHLI, consistently impressed by the exceptional quality in every aspect. ZAHLI excels in offering delicious Mediterranean cuisine, complemented by an atmosphere brimming with personality,” said Danny.
“It will seamlessly blend into The Rocks while simultaneously bringing a fresh, cultural element to the area. We have also just completed a brand-new commercial space as part of the project, meaning The Harrington Collection is now activated across retail, residential and commercial – ultimately, creating a village within a village.”
ZAHLI’s new location will be located at 85 Harrington Street, The Rocks and will open its doors later this year.
Limited retail tenancies remain within The Harrington Collection, alongside a brand-new commercial offering spanning over 2,000sqm.
