Strathfield South warehouse sells for $9.4M

Premium natural stone specialist Marble Hub has secured their own premises, purchasing the Strathfield South showroom and warehouse from which it has established a nationally recognised operation over the last five years for $9.4m.

LJ Hooker Commercial Bankstown Director Tim Byrne managed the sale of the A-grade warehouse for Dunmain Pty Ltd.

The deal represents a near two-decade association between Mr. Byrne and his clients. Mr. Byrne originally sold the site at 123 Cosgrove Road as a block of land to Dunmain in 2005, which they developed as the headquarters of their civil works contracting company. Marble Hub has been a tenant on site since 2018.

The sale represents a rate of $5,979sqm across the 1,572sqm building – 1,077sqm of warehouse and 495sqm of office – which includes internal clearances of 7.7m-8.3m, two roller doors and an awning.

“Cosgrove Road is in a really well-positioned pocket of Strathfield South,” said Mr. Byrne. “It provides easy access to the Hume Highway, Roberts Road and the Motorway Network, delivering great efficiencies for businesses.

“It’s a very tightly held area: this site hasn’t changed hands in almost 20 years.

“The seller wanted to realise the capital gains they’ve made in a highly competitive market and the buyer wanted to secure their future in a popular location in the south-west corridor.”
