Stockland has launched Halcyon Bayside – its largest and one of its most luxurious over-50s communities yet – bringing a new era of resort-style living to Brisbane’s southern bayside.
This community builds on the legacy of its award-winning Halcyon family across Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia.
Set on a 43-hectare site in Redland Bay and neighbouring the Stockland Shoreline masterplanned community, the $500 million-plus community is expected to feature 536 architecturally designed homes alongside a $35 million lifestyle precinct.
At its heart is the main clubhouse, named The Sailhouse, which overlooks the bay and islands. Plans for the clubhouse entry will feature striking natural stone in the shape of sails, reflecting the bayside location.
The community is designed to include luxury facilities like a heated magnesium pool, wellness centre, private cinema, pickleball courts, lawn bowls and a large lagoon-style pool, all overlooking the bay.
Stockland Project Director Glenn Nugent said Halcyon Bayside sets a new standard for lifestyle-focused living for the over-50s market.
“This community has been in design for almost 10 years, reflecting a high level of thought and care to create something new for Redland Bay and suburbs such as Clontarf, Manly or Victoria Point – setting a new benchmark for over-50s living nationally” Mr Nugent said.
“It offers the tranquillity of a tree change, the benefits of a sea change and the convenience of city access all within a low-maintenance, resort-style setting, making it an attractive choice for downsizers seeking a connected lifestyle”.
Queensland General Manager of Stockland Halcyon Communities, Scott Ng, said Halcyon Bayside builds on the legacy of Halcyon’s award-winning communities – B by Halcyon on the Sunshine Coast and Halcyon Greens on the Gold Coast.
“At Halcyon Greens in Pimpama on the Gold Coast, many homeowners have realised significant capital gains, with some early buyers in that community seeing resale values exceeding $1 million,” Mr Ng said.
“Halcyon Bayside offers early buyers that same opportunity in one of South East Queensland’s most desirable bayside locations, with prices expected to start from early $900,000s.1
Homes will be available in a range of spacious two and three-bedroom designs, purpose-built for active over-50s living. Each home features premium finishes, energy-efficient inclusions and sites ranging from 236 to 535 square metres.
The first release of 26 sites is planned for September 2025, with additional releases to follow. Earthworks are underway, and construction is expected to begin in mid-2026, with the first homeowners anticipated to move in by 2027.
Expressions of interest are now open, with public information sessions to be held in August.
