Showground Village: A New Hub for Shopping, Dining & Lifestyle Arrives in Castle Hill
5 September 2025
Leading Sydney developer Deicorp has officially opened Showground Village, an exciting new retail destination situated across four levels in the heart of the Hills District.
Located just moments from the Hills Showground Metro Station, Showground Village offers 9,500sqm of retail space, alongside 26 specialty retailers and a 1,400sqm public plaza.
The grand opening on Sunday, August 31, was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by the Premier of NSW, the Hon Chris Minns MP, Minister for Planning and Public Spaces, the Hon Paul Scully, Mayor of The Hills Shire Council Dr Michelle Byrne, Castle Hill MP Mark Hodges, Landcom CEO Alexander Wendler, and other local dignitaries.
Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Michelle Byrne, welcomed the new precinct as a major boost for the local economy and community.
“The Hills’ population is booming, with close to 140,000 additional residents expected in the next 15 years,” said Mayor Byrne.
“The Showground Precinct, appropriately located next to the Metro, will accommodate over 9,000 additional dwellings with a population of around 20,000 people once fully developed. Over 5,000 dwellings have already been approved and are expected to be constructed over the coming years,” she said.
The centre is anchored by Woolworths and BWS and will become a community meeting point, with retailers ranging from health and fitness operators, including Priceline and Anytime Fitness, as well as family dining, cafes, and essential services.
The retail centre forms part of the Hills Showground Station Precinct – an urban renewal initiative led by Landcom and Sydney Metro. Deicorp was selected to deliver both the Showground Village together with the Precinct East, which together will deliver over 1,300 new dwellings and provide more than $2 billion in economic activity.
Deicorp Founder Fouad Deiri said the opening represents an important milestone in the ongoing transformation of the Hills District.
“Hills Showground Village follows Deicorp’s philosophy of delivering homes that provide great lifestyle and amenity within a vibrant, transport-connected community,” he said.
“With the Metro providing direct access to employment, education, and entertainment hubs, we’re proud to deliver a retail centre that supports the way people live, work, and connect today,” added Fouad.
Positioned within walking distance of Castle Hill Showground and the Hills Showground Pavilions development now under construction, the new retail centre is projected to generate at least 400 ongoing jobs and deliver long-term economic benefits for the region.
The opening further cements Deicorp’s role in shaping Metro-linked communities, with a growing portfolio including Tallawong Village, Falcon and Alexander at Crows Nest, and the recently approved Kings Bay Village in Five Dock.
Showground Village is located at 15 De Clambe Drive, Castle Hill, and is open seven days a week. For more information, visit https://www.showgroundvillageretail.com.au/.
