SABO founders reveal sophisticated residential tower in heart of Broadbeach

‘Sola,’ the most luxurious development by Ature Group, founded by the owners of Queensland-based, global fashion house, SABO and Zaco, has officially launched to market, unveiling 20 full-floor residences each with their own private lift entrance and sophisticated fashion-inspired interiors.

Ature Group, founded by Thessy Batsinilas, Yiota and George Kouzoukas, drew creative inspiration from their womenswear businesses as they seek to expand their property development pipeline.

In recent years the Broadbeach luxury real estate market has ignited, crowning the beachside locale as the centre of Queensland’s property boom. With Sola, Ature Group hopes to create a beach house in the sky, one infused with bespoke finishes and design reflective of Broadbeach’s bold identity as the heart and soul of the Gold Coast.

Located at 158 Surf Parade, the distinguished tower unveils 20 exclusive full-floor apartments, with the exterior design crafted by renowned firms Prospect Apartment Architecture and Esat Design.

Residents will have the flexibility to tweak the 219 sqm floor plans according to their preferences and needs. Mirroring the scale reminiscent of large family homes, each of the residences offer three bedrooms, with the option to customise the space with the ability to add a fourth bedroom, office retreat or even a wine room.

Sola’s design endeavours to seamlessly integrate into the surrounding urban milieu. The design boasts a considered material palette reminiscent of beach shallows, featuring sandy hues, stone pavers, fluted concrete, and subtropical landscaping, encapsulating the essence of sophistication.

Deliberately oriented to the east, the design not only maximizes expansive views of parkland and the ocean, but the tower also exhibits a conscientious approach to privacy by mitigating any potential overlooking into neighbouring structures. The precisely arranged ‘patchwork’ of screens on the northern side optimises privacy and daylighting, reflecting a commitment to both aesthetic and functional considerations.
The ground plane gracefully unravels as a modern and serene pedestrian domain, adorned with lusciously crafted gardens by LDG Landscape Architects. This thoughtful design contribution enhances the ambiance of elevated living synonymous with Broadbeach’s streetscapes.

Taking cues from the undulating character of Sola’s façade, the interiors have been curated by Archie Bolden Interior Design, offering an unapologetic nod to the Mediterranean through considered design flourishes.

Every residence encapsulates the epitome of contemporary coastal sophistication. A refined interplay of organic curves, light timber tones, and luxurious stone finishes harmoniously complement the beauty of Broadbeach revealed through expansive floor-to-ceiling windows.

The idyllic luxury lifestyle continues with a series of resident-only fitness and outdoor spaces that draw inspiration from the leading wellness clubs around the world. Sola introduces a incredible pool, fully-equipped gymnasium, a mineral spa, cold plunge pools, steam and sauna rooms, plus sunbeds and lounges. The ground floor includes a wash-off area and even surfboard storage.

George Kouzoukas, Ature Group Director said the founders are passionate about bringing to market a project that is uniquely inspired by fashion and global design, delivered with the trio’s trademark luxurious resort aesthetic.

“Sola is the architectural manifestation of our years travelling around the globe, visiting incredible destinations like Paris, New York and the Greek Islands, bringing together our favourite fashion, architecture, and design influences into a residential setting.

“Sola has been designed with our favourite global beach destinations at the fore, with a relaxed yet luxurious palette that is very much a representation of our own personal style.

“The interiors and amenities of the project have been meticulously designed without compromise. A testament to the project is exemplified by each of us retaining a residence within the building for personal use.

“We have loved the collaboration with our project partners – Prospect, Esat Studio, Archie Bolden Interior Design, and LDG Landscape Architects. Their contributions have been instrumental as we sought to infuse Sola with the creativity and innovation that we the founders have cultivated over more than a decade in the fashion industry.”

Carly Cotam, Founder and CEO of Motiv Group who is selling the project, says:

“The Gold Coast market has felt a surge of post-covid real estate activity, with a particular uptick in the Broadbeach property market. A growing number of buyers are seeking residences that offer extensive vistas while being based in proximity to the vibrant heart of Broadbeach. This trend highlights a preference for spacious, full floor living experiences in this dynamic real estate landscape.

“Sola, however, breaks away from the cookie-cutter tower mould. As a uniquely developed project rooted in Queensland’s creative industries, it presents an incredibly resolved and elegant product, showcasing its distinctiveness in the market.”

Hayley Richards, Co-Founder and Director at Archie Bolden Interior Design said:

“Speaking to the project’s namesake, we’ve employed a materials palette that celebrates the richness of neutral tones and embraces sunset hues. Inspired by a wash of colours unfolding at dusk, layered finishes ombre from cool to warm hues throughout, creating a vermillion effect that bleeds through the interior.

“Fluid architectural forms and textural finishes interact with the abundant natural light that floods the space. This dynamic composition of tactile reflectivity mimics the untamed spirit of the coastal shoreline and the ever-changing interplay of sunlight and sea.

“Combined, the design of Sola offers residents an elevated living experience that is reminiscent of a vacation – a place where ambition thrives, and memories reside. “

Residences start from $2,750,000 and range up to $4,650,000. All residences are 219 sqm.
