Boat owners will be given the first opportunity to purchase their own marina berth at the landmark Putney Wharf Residences lifestyle precincton the harbour in Putney.
The remaining 28 berths will launch to market on Saturday, 30 November priced from $425,000 for a 12-metre berth.
Notably, CBRE Residential Projects sold eight marina berths with luxury residences as part of the Stage One launch of sales.
The project saw overwhelming demand selling $140 million in sales so far, largely to local rightsizers looking for premium lifestyle and waterfront living.
Addressing the shortage of marina berths in Sydney harbour, Putney Wharfâs 36-berth marina has been designed to the latest Australian Standards and provides accommodation for boats sized 12 to 18 metres.
Well-known Sydney Harbour marina manager of Advanced Marina Management, Michael Jarvin says there is definitely a shortage of marina berths in Sydney Harbour, particularly for larger sized boats. Estimates of shortages range from 300 to 400 marina berths, he confirmed.
âItâs not uncommon for there to be waitlists on berths to be snapped up as soon as they become available. Itâs a bit of an issue for the boating industry,â he said.
