A seismic shift is underway in real estate: AI and automation are supercharging operational efficiency, as well as unlocking new revenue opportunities thanks to previously untapped data insights.
According to Reapitâs State of the Australian Real Estate Market Report, 49.1 per cent of agencies are already using some form of AI or automation for their everyday communications. And 48.1 per cent are using it for marketing tasks including writing property descriptions.
This trend is apparent across many industries, from healthcare to retail and beyond, as companies realise there is a competitive edge to be gained from customer insights available from their own data, or processes that can be made more efficient. And conversely, businesses begin to understand that they may be left behind if they donât take advantage of new and evolving technologies.
The use of AI and automation in the real estate industry is set to further increase, with Reapit â the proptech company providing end-to-end business technology for two-thirds of agencies in Australia and New Zealand â about to unveil a host of new innovations across its suite of products.
The new features, for Reapit products including Console Cloud and Agentbox, have been designed to meet agents and property managersâ growing need for simplifying time-consuming tasks and driving business growth.
As it moves toward a unified platform for its products, Reapit will launch its latest innovations in real estate technology at Fusion â25, an event expected to be attended online on March 26 by more than 1000 agents and property managers from across Australia and New Zealand.
âWe know agencies are keen to get an edge, especially during this housing crunch,” Reapitâs Global Chief Product Officer Matt McGown said.
âOur new and improved automation and AI features will further enhance how real estate agencies operate by handling routine tasks and freeing up time to focus on building relationships and delivering personal service.
âAnd by integrating automation and AI with agency data, insights can be provided that give a much deeper, and highly accurate, understanding of customers. This is invaluable for making better informed business decisions.â
At Fusion â25, Reapit will unveil the âGolden Profileâ, which harnesses automation to bring all client interactions across its property management platform Console Cloud, and sales CRM Agentbox into a unified view, so agencies can get a full picture of a clientâs journey, whether theyâre buying, selling, renting or managing a portfolio. The Golden Profile will ensure a business wide view, which is crucial to an agencyâs success.
Extending that connection across an agency, Reapitâs platforms have helped unlock more than $1 billion of inter-office referral revenue so agencies never miss a sale from their rent roll, or a management opportunity from a sale.
The proptech company will also launch Console Conversations, which uses automation to pull contact and property-related emails directly from a property managerâs email inbox, and with precision, connects email threads directly to known contactsâlike tenants and ownersâand to properties, via lease and management agreements.
Plus, property managers can now take action on requests directly within threads, saving significant time. For example, when a landlord sends a water bill for a tenant to pay, the platform automatically uses the Bills Workflow to add the bill, send it to the tenant as an invoiced to pay, and process payment â all from within the email thread.
The advertising module in Console Cloud has also been upgraded, enabling property listings to reach more than 270 portals across Australia and New Zealand.
âReapitâs property management platform Console Cloud was the first in the market with automated workflows for property agents, including property applications, inspections, maintenance and rent arrears, and now Reapit is building on that,â Mr McGown said.
Matthews Real Estate in Annerley, Brisbane is among the agencies unlocking their potential by using Reapitâs property management and lettings platforms to streamline their operations, automate workflows, and improve communication.
âI have seen significant growth in our portfolio with Reapit, it streamlines the process,â team leader Jessica Doyle said.
âWe can just do a lot more in a day than we ever used to be able to do.â
