Parkers Grove Shepparton: 641 Homes Approved

National diversified developer Goldfields has secured permit approval for Parkers Grove – a $205m, 641-lot master planned community located in the Victorian regional city of Shepparton.

Parkers Grove is the first residential project to obtain a planning permit within the Shepparton South East Precinct Structure Plan and will host a 1ha (10,000sqm) centrally located community park, natural wetlands, and walking paths.

The shovel-ready 43.35ha master planned development is situated adjacent to a future local convenience centre, future government school, and open space sporting fields creating a vibrant new activity hub for the Greater Shepparton community.

Goldfields National Director, Communities, Paul Cicchiello, said Parkers Grove will be developed with community liveability front of mind with a strong emphasis upon well-being, accessibility, and affordability.

“Importantly, Parkers Grove will play a big role in easing Shepparton’s local housing shortage and rental market pressures by creating a new family-friendly community a few minutes from town,” said Mr Cicchiello.

“Shepparton is experiencing a multi-year population surge placing severe strain on the local housing market. The population is forecast to grow by 13 per cent over the next 20 years, making it one of Victoria’s fastest growing regional centres. *

“Parkers Grove will generate hundreds of construction jobs over the life of its multi-year development creating new employment opportunities for local workers and tradies.

“Goldfields will also undertake an upgrade of Channel Road as part of the project works to improve local traffic flow and enhance community safety.”

Goldfields’ Chief Executive Officer, Lachlan Thompson, said Goldfields is a strong believer in the future of country Victoria and is growing its investment footprint in several regional centres, including Shepparton.

“Our investment in Parkers Grove builds upon our long-term involvement in Ballarat (Winterfield) and recent retail project in Kyneton (Cornerstone: Kyneton),” said Mr Thompson.

The Stage 1 sales launch is anticipated in April 2026, with expressions of interest now open via the project website [https://parkersgrove.com.au/]. Civil works are scheduled to commence on site in Q3 2026.
