National integrated property, construction and investment group, Oreana is accelerating its footprint in the retail sector, with construction now underway on its fifth neighbourhood shopping centre in just 12 months.
Backed by a retail pipeline valued at $1.1 billion, its latest project is Beveridge Village, a $23 million centre spanning 1,400 square metres net leasable area with 14 tenancies.
As the first retail hub for this rapidly growing community in Melbourne’s northern corridor, Beveridge Village is already close to fully leased, with confirmed tenants including Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten (providing 142 places for children), Ray White, Thirsty Camel, Beveridge Groceries, Subway and more.
Delivered by Oreana’s in-house construction team, Beveridge Village is set for completion in mid-2026. It will serve a catchment of 64,000 residents today, with population forecast to surge by 708 per cent by 2041, cementing its role as a cornerstone for the region’s future.
Oreana Managing Director Tony Sass said residents currently had to travel to Kalkallo for shopping, so Beveridge Village would be a welcome community asset.
“Neighbourhood centres continue to perform due to their convenience-led model and strong community focus,” he said.
“It’s this ability to cater to everyday needs that see neighbourhood centres thrive, with less volatility than discretionary retail.”
Mr Sass said neighbourhood centres like Beveridge Village are more than just retail, they’re places where new communities come together.
“Beveridge Village will bring essential shops and services that make everyday life easier for residents already here, and for the thousands more set to call this region home,” he said.
“As our fifth neighbourhood centre to commence this year, Beveridge Village is a clear example of Oreana’s commitment to delivering much-needed retail infrastructure across Melbourne’s fastest-growing corridors. These projects play a pivotal role in shaping vibrant, well-serviced communities in emerging suburbs.
“Our business model allows us to control every step – from development through to construction – ensuring we deliver high-quality, convenient and accessible retail hubs that genuinely support local life.”
Highly active in Melbourne’s greenfield space, Oreana also has the following neighbourhood shopping centres under construction:
- Botanical Village, Mickleham, a $75 million centre spanning 7415 square metres and featuring a Coles and 25 stores, due for completion early 2026Â
- Warralily Quarter, Armstrong Creek, a $13.4 million centre delivering 1700 sqm of retail including SNAP 24/7 Fitness, Aspire Early Education & Kindergarten and more, due for completion 2026Â
- A $6.3 million centre in Craigieburn offering 735 sqm of retail across five tenancies, due for completion 2026Â
- Linfield Place, Wollert, a $45 million centre spanning 3500 square metres, featuring 7 Eleven, Snap Fitness, Aspire Early Learning and more, due for completion early 2026.Â
Mr Sass said Oreana maintained a balanced pipeline spanning multiple property sectors — from residential communities including associated amenity and homes to major commercial projects — while developing capabilities in financial services and strategic investments.
“Our diversified, end-to-end model gives us the agility to navigate property cycles and capitalise on opportunities as they emerge,” he said.
