Launch of SDG Real Estate Marks Exciting Next Step for Sustainable Development Group
4 June 2025
Innovative, not-for-profit development management and advisory organisation Sustainable Development Group (SDG) has announced the addition of a new real estate arm to its business – SDG Real Estate.
The new wholly owned subsidiary, to be led by experienced Licensee Jason Squires, is set to offer a number of new services to clients in the faith-based sector such as real estate advisory and strategic portfolio management.
Jason says, as a faith-based not-for-profit, SDG is uniquely positioned to service Christian organisations in these areas.
“Given SDG’s extensive network of clients and contacts across both the church and property sectors in Australia, not to mention our deep understanding of both, we’re in a position to match buyers and sellers, owners and prospective tenants in a way that few others could – often before a property has even hit the market,” he says.
“This is really what I’m passionate about! I can’t wait to get started.” Services to be offered include:
- property transaction negotiation,
- leasing advocacy,
- buyer’s agent services,
- market analysis and more.
“Whether it’s a start-up church looking for a permanent home, a well-established church looking to acquire a new site, or someone looking for a lead agency to sell an existing property, SDG Real Estate will be uniquely positioned to help,” Mr Squires said.
SDG’s Managing Director Richard Ollerhead says: “I’m really excited to see this next crucial piece of the puzzle being put in place. Real estate advisory is a key component as we endeavour to provide a true ‘one-stop shop’ of all things property for churches and other Christian organisations across the country.
“They are the experts in sharing the good news of Jesus and we don’t want them getting bogged down in property matters which can get pretty demanding and complex.
“So to be able to come alongside churches as a partner that shares their mission and also deeply understands the property and development ecosystem, will be a real privilege.”
