Landing Playcentre Secures Lease for New Altona North Location – Jones Real Estate

Australian-owned indoor play centre brand Landing Playcentre has secured a new lease at 1 Gilbert Drive, Altona North, marking its expansion into Melbourne’s booming inner-west. The lease was negotiated by Tim Spargo, Director at Jones Real Estate.

Already operating established venues in Bundoora and Ravenhall, Landing Playcentre continues its growth by leasing the impressive 830sqm* corner site within the Millers Junction Shopping Village and Business Park. The venue will operate seven days a week, catering to children and families for both recreational play and private events.

The property attracted strong interest from a range of tenants, with multiple offers submitted before Landing Playcentre successfully secured the lease.

“This location stood out due to its placement within a major retail and business hub, where daily traffic exceeds 24,000 vehicles,” said Tim Spargo.

“The area’s visibility and steady foot traffic make it a prime opportunity for a family-oriented operator like Landing Playcentre,” Mr Spargo added.

The lease agreement spans 10 years, with an annual rent of $160,000 + GST and outgoings.

Landing Playcentre’s new Altona North venue will be surrounded by household names including Woolworths, Bunnings, Aldi, Officeworks, JB Hi-Fi, BCF, Supercheap Auto, and The Reject Shop, positioning the business at the heart of a highly trafficked and well-established commercial precinct.

Landing Playcentre’s entry into Altona North not only strengthens its presence across Melbourne but also contributes to the area’s growing reputation as a destination for family-friendly experiences and community-focused amenities. The new location is expected to open its doors later this year, bringing with it new jobs, increased foot traffic, and a welcome boost to the local economy.
