KPMG Australia is expanding its reach to Geelong as part of the firm’s regional growth strategy aiming to support mid-market and larger medium sized businesses through a range of KPMG’s professional services. The firm has confirmed it is setting up its first regional Victorian office in response to strong demand from local businesses and recognising the potential and ongoing growth in the greater Geelong region.

KPMG Geelong will be situated in the new 60 Moorabool Street development, which is owned and operated by Quintessential Equity and GMHBA, in the heart of the Geelong CBD to the west of Melbourne, Victoria. With a solid reputation for quality and a strong focus on occupier relationships, Quintessential Equity is continuing to invest in the Geelong market to deliver premium grade office facilities that support the growth strategies of businesses.

“We are delighted to be able to announce our new KPMG Geelong office will soon be open for business,” said Carmel Mortell KPMG Victorian Chairman. “Geelong is a dynamic business hub attracting people who are relocating together with local business owners growing their enterprises. It has a strong footprint in the healthcare, property, education and manufacturing sectors with other entrepreneurial enterprises coming on stream.”

She said the firm was working on a fit out that would support staff and client well-being and connection. It will also feature distinct Geelong features and themes.

“With our existing Geelong clients and staff from the region, we feel that we already have a significant connection with the city,” said Ms Mortell.

“We are excited to be a key part of the ongoing growth and prosperity of the region. KPMG Geelong looks forward to offering the benefits of a local partner with a strong footprint in the region.”

Noah Warren, Head of Existing Assets of Quintessential Equity said, “Our vision for Geelong is starting to come to fruition with the city being recognised for its liveability and strong amenity, including the waterfront, art and cultural sites, and a fantastic food and beverage offering.”

“We are delighted to have attracted a high-quality tenant like KPMG to 60 Moorabool. The premium grade building has been integral to the growth and transformation of Geelong’s business community and is a testament to the type of office accommodation that attracts and retains great talent, ” Mr Warren added.

Edward Knowles, National Director Office Leasing of Colliers said: “The commitment shown by KPMG demonstrates that big businesses are recognising the potential of Geelong, placing the city on the map as one of the great places to live and work.”
