Australian property developer Holder East has announced the completion of OASIS Residences, a $280M luxury project in South Melbourne with an impressive 90% settlement rate. Alongside this milestone, the developer also recently announced the arrival of the first Hyatt House hotel in Melbourne, in partnership with Hyatt Hotels Corporation, further solidifying its commitment to innovative, community-focused initiatives that enhance the urban experience.

Located at 30-32 Palmerston Crescent, the 19-storey development designed by acclaimed Hayball Architects and constructed by Roberts Co, initially comprised 158 residences but following a number of amalgamations by local owner-occupiers, is now home to 137 apartments.

Some local purchasers amalgamated up to four residences to create a spacious house-sized residence with sales ranging from $13,500sqm up to $26,000sqm.

OASIS offers exclusive amenities that enhance the residents’ lifestyle, including a rooftop infinity pool, a fully equipped gym, private dining room and bar, and a children’s playroom. The lush rooftop terrace provides a breathtaking vantage point to enjoy panoramic views of Albert Park Lake and Port Phillip Bay, making it the perfect venue for gatherings.

Positioned on a rare urban island, a standalone block with no immediate neighbours, residents are guaranteed uninterrupted 360-degree views, enhancing the sense of privacy and exclusivity.

Upon entry, residents are greeted by an expansive atrium void that spans over three levels and externally, curved digital screens wrap a double-height column at the entry of the building, showcasing the native flora within South Melbourne while responding to the seasons and time of day.

Also forming part of the building is Hyatt House, an Australian first that will offer guests everything they need for short or long-term stays across 97 rooms. Adding value to Oasis residents, the hotel’s all-day lounge on the ground floor will be a central gathering spot where residents and locals can enjoy a freshly made breakfast, or sip on a cocktail and unwind while an additional retail space within the building is earmarked for a restaurant.

Holder East’s Chief Operations Officer CJ Wu, highlighted the project’s commitment to quality and design.

ā€œOASIS Residences represents a new standard in luxurious living in South Melbourne. Achieving 80 per cent in sales is a testament to the project’s quality and the thoughtful design that resonates with today’s buyers. We adapted our approach to accommodate buyers’ needs during these challenging times, ensuring they felt supported every step of the way,ā€ said CJ.

Marketing Manager at Roberts Co. Sarah Zola noted the construction team’s dedication to creating a standout development.

ā€œOur team is incredibly proud to have successfully delivered OASIS on time and within budget, despite the challenges the construction industry has faced over the past few years. We’ve ensured that these homes offer both luxury and resilience, by combining premium materials, innovative design, and sustainable building practices. It’s a project that will be cherished homes for years to come,ā€ said Sarah.

With superior finishes, sustainable building practices, and cutting-edge smart building integration, OASIS is designed to cater to the modern urban dweller. Each home features natural stone finishes and energy-efficient technologies, ensuring a sophisticated living experience.

The strong interest in OASIS Residences reflects a broader trend towards buyers seeking premium properties in Melbourne’s thriving real estate market. The project not only meets the demand for luxurious living but also sets a benchmark for future developments in the area.

At a settlement event for the project, John Mullahy MP also acknowledged the importance of projects like OASIS in addressing the state’s housing needs.

ā€œHousing provides a foundation for strong communities, families, and individuals. The Victorian Government is working to ensure that all Victorians have access to safe, affordable, and appropriate housing. Developments like OASIS play an important role in ensuring Victorians have access to high-quality living spaces in established communities,ā€ said John.

Limited residences remain priced from $957,000 for 2 bedrooms with a car space. To learn more about Oasis, please visit https://oasisresidences.com.au/. Hyatt House is scheduled to open in 2025.
