The $600m facility strengthens the Randwick Health & Innovation Precinct as upper office floors continue to attract health-focused occupiers
Colliers, alongside CBRE and Grace Commercial is marketing the upper office floors of the newly opened UNSW Health Translation Hub at 55 Botany Street, Randwick on behalf of Plenary. Premium workspace is available for health-aligned tenants seeking to co-locate within one of Australia’s leading health and research precincts.
Officially opened on 24 November by NSW Premier Chris Minns, the $600 million, 35,600 sqm facility was delivered in partnership between UNSW Sydney and Plenary. The Hub is designed to drive collaboration between clinicians, researchers, students, industry and community partners, enabling faster translation of research into improved patient care and community outcomes.
Prime upper-floor office space for health-related organisations
Levels 9-13 offer 2,000 sqm floor plates with Level 14 adding 900 sqm for a total of 10,900 sqm of contiguous premium office space. Flexible split options from approximately 120-150 sqm are available to meet bespoke tenant requirements. The space is ideally suited for health-related organisations, research groups, clinical and allied health services, education providers, innovation teams and professional services aligned with the health and research sectors.
The lower eight floors are already pre-committed by UNSW Sydney, The George Institute for Global Health and the Minderoo Children’s Comprehensive Cancer Centre.
“The Health Translation Hub presents a rare opportunity for health-focused organisations to position themselves within a world leading health and research environment. The upper floors offer highly flexible, light-filled office space with modern building services and the ability to deliver bespoke fitouts supported by developer incentives. Tenants can establish a premium presence directly adjacent to major hospitals, research partners and UNSW in a location purpose-built to enhance collaboration and growth,” said Jake Jamieson, Manager | Office Leasing.
Embedded within a leading health precinct
Located within the Randwick Health & Innovation Precinct and directly adjacent to the Prince of Wales Hospital, the Hub offers immediate access to clinical partners, research collaborators and key academic institutions, supported by convenient light rail and bus connections and nearby retail and dining amenities.
Colliers’ end to end involvement in the project
Colliers’ Urban Planning team has worked on the project since its inception supporting Health Infrastructure with the original State Significant Development Application (SSDA), stakeholder engagement and communications and later preparing planning modifications following Plenary’s acquisition of the site and throughout delivery with Hansen Yuncken.
“This has been an end to end engagement for our planning team from initial approvals through to delivery and now activation. The work completed ensured the Hub could evolve as the project matured while staying aligned with the broader vision for the Randwick Health & Innovation Precinct. The opening marks an important milestone, establishing a space that facilitates closer collaboration among health-focused organisations, research, education and clinical environments. We’re proud to have contributed to a project that will deliver lasting value for the community and the health sector,” added Clare Swan, Director, Planning | Urban Planning.
