A third car dealership along Traralgon’s ‘golden mile’ has been sold off market for $23.5 million, following 2 other automotive transactions late last year for $11m, with Stonebridge Property Group and Wilson Property handling all 3 transactions.
The 3 dealerships, totalling $34.5m in sales, were acquired by the Strategic Opportunities (Growth & Income) Fund – a retail investment fund that acquires strategic commercial properties for cashflow and long-term capital growth returns.
All 3 dealerships are leased to the South African listed Motus Holdings, a public company listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Motus Australia employs almost 700 people nationally and encompasses 25 brands at 47 sites across Victoria and New South Wales.
The most recent sale of 5567 Princes Highway, Traralgon, for $23.5 million, reflected a 6.43% yield. The property itself consisted of multiple showrooms, offices, and service centres with 7,773 sqm* building area spread across the 20,000 sqm* landholding. Trading under the Motus leasehold included Subaru, Mitsubishi, Mazda, Isuzu Ute, and Volkswagen operators.
