Fabcot Acquires Lepptington site

Woolworths development arm, Fabcot have acquired a new site in Leppington for $21.2m.

 

The 3.7ha site is located on the corner of Ingleburn Rd and Rickard Rd, just 800m from the Leppington Train Station. It is located within the Camden Local Government Area, some 39 km west-southwest of Sydney.

 

Leppington is expected to be a prominent centre accommodating significant residential and business activities over time. Apart from Leppington Train Station there is little to no development of the Leppington Major Centre at present with the area still have an appearance of a semi-rural area on the urban fringes.

 

The site is zoned for Business Development and within the planned commercial core of the Leppington Major Centre.

 

Fabcot submitted a development application for a 1.6ha part of site in April 2020, leaving the balance of the site for future uses.

 

The application provided for a 2 storey neighbourhood shopping centre with a 3,980sqm Woolworths Supermarket + BWS plus 1,700sqm of speciaty shops and 2,125sqm of commercial space along with 225 basement parking spaces & 109 ground level parking spaces. A Development Consent is yet to be issued. The works are estimated to cost $32m.
