Two new tenants have signed up to occupy space in the new Edith Cowan University (ECU) Health Centre in the WA coastal town of Yanchep, north of Perth, taking Site A to full occupancy.
Well-established operators Lagoon Medical Centre and CAHS (Child and Adolescent Health Services) have leased a total of 331sq m in the two-level Site A property at 101 Booderee Road.
They join disability service provider Ability WA within Site A, which is now fully leased.
The leasing deal was negotiated by Knight Frank agent Jonathan Wong on behalf of the landlord, ECU.
Mr Wong said: “This fully fitted out medical centre attracted significant interest from the market.
“Through a careful process ECU and Knight Frank Australia were able to identify and secure the ideal tenancies for the community.
“The first stage of leasing for Site A at the ECU Health Centre Yanchep is now completed by quality tenants who will service the growing population of the surrounding area.
“This milestone represents an important step in activating the precinct and supporting future growth in part of the Yanchep region.”
The ECU Health Centre Yanchep is poised to be Perth’s largest health services facility north of Joondalup.
The fully-leased Site A building at 101 Booderee Road is the first of two to be built on the site. A second building (Site B) is scheduled for completion in early 2026.
Leasing for Site B (size 1,700m2) will commence over the coming months, via Knight Frank’s Greg McAlpine.
The ECU Health Centre Yanchep is located between the high-traffic Yanchep Beach Road and Ikara Lane. It is central to all amenities including a supermarket (Aldi), service station (Caltex), gym (Snap Fitness), storage (National Storage) and other services.
Yanchep and surrounding areas have enjoyed rapid expansion in recent years with new housing added, commercial developments and expansion of the Mitchell Freeway and train services within close proximity.
Upon full completion, the ECU Health Centre Yanchep will offer a range of health services in a ‘one-stop shop’ for patients and families, including general practice, nursing and allied health, with a range of free and low-cost community health and wellbeing programs.
Upon completion, the ECU Health Centre Yanchep will include two co-located, integrated, multidisciplinary health facilities. They will provide services which meet the current and future health needs of the rapidly growing Yanchep community, while improving health and wellbeing outcomes.
The Centre will also provide clinical training and research opportunities for ECU students and staff, contributing to the development of the future health workforce.
