EB Games Sells Brisbane Distribution Centre & HO

25 August 2020

EB Games has sold their Australian Head Office and distribution Centre in Brisbane for $38.2m.

The sale campaign was managed by JLL Capital Markets Industrial and Logistics team.

The property sits on a 3.3ha site forms part of TradeCoast Central, a fully integrated masterplanned corporate office park located on the former Brisbane Airport site adjacent to the Gateway Arterial Motorway. The property contains a 17,200sqm prime distribution facility which was offered on a sale and long term leaseback, which underpinned the vendors long term commitment to this strategic location.

Industry sources stated that EB Games paid $27 million in 2011 to acquire the land / warehouse.

With limited freehold opportunities available within Brisbane’s TradeCoast precinct the property attracted considerable attention from a wide range of private and institutional investors, though the buyer has not yet been revealed.

Tony Iuliano from JLL said "this sale represents one of the largest transactions this year within Brisbane’s tightly held TradeCoast precinct and is another example of the strength of the industrial and logistics sector, in particular for strategically located assets within close proximity to major infrastructure".
