East Brisbane Showroom Hits the Market for the First Time in 130 Years
18 July 2025
A showroom in a highly-exposed location in Brisbane’s inner city, situated on one of the main streets in East Brisbane, is up for sale for the first time in 130 years.
The property at 899 Stanley Street East consists of a 615sq m showroom on an 845sq m site with five car parks, less than two kilometres east of the Brisbane CBD.
The property has been occupied by Highgrove Bathrooms, one of Australia’s largest and leading bathroom suppliers of high-quality bathroom products, since 2008, with the current lease having one year remaining.
It is being taken to the market via an Offers to Purchase campaign via Knight Frank agents Jacob Heinke and Hayden Ryan.
Mr Heinke said the highly-exposed showroom offered an exceptionally rare opportunity for buyers,
“Having come to the market for the first time in 130 years, this is an exceptionally rare chance to secure an opportunity that is only becoming increasingly hard to find,” he said.
“The asset is one of the last remaining freestanding showroom assets along East Brisbane’s main inbound thoroughfares.
“With high-quality inner-city land increasingly scarce, 899 Stanley Street East represents an exceptional opportunity to secure a landmark holding in a prime growth location.
“Showroom/warehouse assets in this precinct are rarely traded due to limited supply and high demand, with many marked for future residential developments.”
Mr Ryan said the East Brisbane property was in a location with unmatched connectivity.
“It ticks all the boxes as a solid investment, including its prominent position in one of Brisbane’s most tightly-held precincts, with 20 metres of street frontage to East Brisbane’s main thoroughfare.
“The site is also elevated and flood free, offering future development potential, especially given its position within Woolloongabba’s Priority Development Area, a proven residential and investment location.
“The property is perfectly suited for flagship retail, showroom, warehouse, office or hospitality use, sitting at the doorstep of Brisbane’s best amenity and residential suburbs.
“We expect to field strong interest from both owner-occupiers and investors during the campaign.
“The showroom will have strong future tenant demand due to its highly exposed location, which also supports future leasing upside.”
899 Stanley Street East is just 500 metres – around a seven-minute walk – from the Woolloongabba Cross River Rail station, set to open in 2029 and expected to accommodate over 46,000 daily passengers.
The Offers to Purchase campaign for the property will close at 4pm AEST on Wednesday, August 6.
