Leading Sydney builder and developer Deicorp has appointed community housing provider St George Community Housing (SGCH) to manage 22 new affordable apartments at its Hills Showground Village in Castle Hill.
This milestone marks the beginning of an ongoing partnership between SGCH and Deicorp, with SGCH appointed as Deicorp’s preferred community housing provider for ongoing affordable housing management.
The apartments, located in the heart of Castle Hill’s Showground precinct and just steps from the Hills Showground Station Metro Station, are part of a vibrant mixed-use precinct featuring 430 apartments, 9,500sqm of retail space, and a 1,400sqm public plaza.
“This partnership with Deicorp is about more than just bricks and mortar,” said Debi Marriott-Lavery, CEO of SGCH.
“It’s a conscious contribution to tackling the housing crisis, creating opportunities for people to live in safe, affordable homes in thriving, well-connected communities. We’re proud to be working with a partner that shares our commitment to delivering high-quality housing outcomes.”
The 22 affordable homes – comprising five one-bedroom, 13 two-bedroom, and four three-bedroom apartments – will be leased and managed by SGCH, providing much-needed housing options for low to moderate-income households in the Hills District. This is SGCH’s first affordable housing project in this area of Sydney.
“Deicorp is pleased to work with SGCH, a trusted leader in community housing,” said Fouad Deiri OAM, Founder and Chairman of Deicorp.
“This partnership will enable Deicorp to deliver best-in-class affordable homes in partnership with the community housing sector to deliver affordable homes that meet the needs of our growing city.”
The partnership was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), with additional projects expected to follow as part of a long-term collaboration between the two organisations.
