Western Sydney has welcomed a bold new destination for food, culture and community, following the official opening of the retail hub within Coronation Property’s Mason & Main precinct in Merrylands.

Across three weekends of celebrations during May 2025, a curated mix of retailers was introduced to the Western Sydney public – from diverse food offerings featuring casual street eats and premium dining experiences, to a complementary mix of hospitality, wellness and lifestyle retailers.

Between 10 and 25 May, Mason & Main showcased 11 of its new retailers during eight nights of activations headlined by The Bearded Bakers, who drew thousands of their dedicated followers to Merrylands to experience the precinct’s Eat Street.

The mix of exciting food offerings includes elevated Middle Eastern fare at Iftar, as well as traditional Turkish cuisine at Hayat, Aussie-style American comfort food at Fat Jak’s, premium steaks at Macelleria, modern Mediterranean at Mase & Co, authentic Japanese flavours at Yuzu Dining, and sweet treats at San Churro.

In addition, premium lifestyle and fitness brand One Playground has opened one of the largest gyms in NSW, spanning 3,000sqm, while Australia’s number one pet retailer Petbarn has also landed at Mason & Main. Rounding off the current offerings are laser treatment specialists Professional Laser Clinic, and Hilltop Childcare, who introduced themselves to the public by giving away a 6-month childcare package, valued at $20,000.

Excitingly, there is still more to come at Mason & Main during June and July, with Nando’s, Nawa Thai, Nikki’s Pizza, Sogogi Korean BBQ, C9 Gelato, Oakberry, Lukumades, Butterfield Cookies, and Self Raised Bakery all set to open, while convenience hair and beauty brands Barber Workshop, Haus of Cosmetics, and ProfessioNAIL will bring the full list of retailers to 23.

According to Joe Nahas, Managing Director of Coronation Property, Mason & Main has redefined modern, lifestyle-oriented living in Merrylands.

“By combining elements of residential, hospitality and lifestyle retail, we’ve created a world-class precinct that engages with the local community and provides an activated lifestyle for our savvy buyers and tenants,” explained Mr Nahas.

“Our vision was to create a dynamic precinct where renters and owners alike can shop, exercise and eat – creating a warm and welcoming community which reflects all that I love about Western Sydney.

“Our recent retail opening completes the compelling lifestyle offering at Mason & Main, with residents now having all they need on their doorstep.

“It’s exciting to see the welcoming residential community we’ve established at Mason & Main, and we still have opportunities for new residents to come and experience the lifestyle here, with a range of designer apartments available for sale.”

Indeed, the official opening of Mason & Main’s Eat Street and other retail stores represents the final piece of the puzzle for the precinct, which is strategically located just a seven-minute walk from Merrylands train station and is the largest build-to-rent (BTR) project in NSW.

Designed by global architects Woods Bagot, Mason & Main features 434 build-to-rent apartments across three buildings, as well as 415 apartments for sale across two other buildings, alongside premium resident amenities such as a resort-style swimming pool, rooftop gardens and private dining rooms.

Now with the addition of a dynamic new eat street, the project offers an unrivalled Western Sydney lifestyle – all in one precinct.
