Construction is officially underway on Mulberry Village, a $4 million neighbourhood centre in Stockland Aura, set to become a community-focused destination in the growing suburb of Nirimba.
Located on Mulberry Lane at the entry to one of Aura’s premium neighbourhoods, The Avenues, Mulberry Village has been thoughtfully designed to provide everyday convenience and foster connection – just moments from home.
The centre will offer tenancies ranging from 50 to 200 square metres, with opportunities for businesses in beauty, healthcare, retail, and professional services. A dedicated hire space will also be available for workshops, fitness classes, community events, and networking sessions.
The commencement of construction marks a major milestone, with up to 60 local jobs expected to be created during build and more than 20 ongoing roles anticipated once the centre opens.
Stockland Development Director Josh Sondergeld welcomed the milestone, highlighting Mulberry Village’s role in supporting Aura’s evolving community.
“Aura is already home to over 14,000 residents and is continuing to grow. As the community expands, so does the demand for convenience, lifestyle amenities, and access to essential services. Mulberry Village has been thoughtfully designed to meet those evolving needs,” Mr Sondergeld said.
Mulberry Village is being delivered by local husband-and-wife development team Peter and Sue Ford, Directors of the Ford Bucket Company. The centre was designed by Sunshine Coast-based OGE Group Architects, with construction underway by SG Builder.
“Breaking ground on Mulberry Village is a proud milestone for us. Aura is one of the fastest-growing communities on the eastern seaboard, and we saw an opportunity to create a vibrant, inclusive hub that brings together local businesses and services in one beautifully designed space.” Mr Ford said.
Anchoring the centre will be Ford & Folk, a beauty and wellness collective co-founded by Aura residents and sisters, Sarah Milner and Aimee Ford. The multi-use space is designed to support small business operators and meet the lifestyle needs of the Aura community, offering services ranging from hair and skin treatments to holistic healthcare.
Mulberry Village is set within a 2,000 square metre site with approximately 500 square metres of tenancy space. Construction is expected to be completed by April 2026.
