Colliers Launch Dedicated Living Platform to Target Emerging Markets
9 April 2025
The sector will focus on Build To Rent, Student Accommodation, Co-Living, Land Lease Communities, and Specialised Accommodation.
Colliers have expanded their core Residential service offerings with the launch of a dedicated Living platform, to work alongside Project Marketing and Development Sites.
Colliers Living will focus on opportunities across Build To Rent, Student Accommodation, Co-Living, Land Lease Communities, and Specialised Accommodation (Key Workers, Affordable Housing, Specialist Disability Accommodation).
This strategic initiative is led by Colliers Residential with Managing Director, Diana Sarcasmo, stating that this company-wide approach will draw on the existing expertise across Australia and APAC and be informed by the teamsā intimate knowledge of the residential markets.
āThis consolidated offering will bring together experts throughout Colliers across a number of sectors including Valuations and Advisory, Project Leaders, Engineering and Design, and Planning to create a major competitive advantage for our clients,ā Ms Sarcasmo said.
āColliers is the only national agency with local geographic coverage, making us incredibly well placed to take advantage of capital inflow into the Australian residential market, as well as the ongoing growth of the Living sector.ā
Robert Papaleo will become the Head of Living, Residential team and lead this cross-disciplinary initiative, collaborating with Colliersā key experts across the different sectors.
āInvestment themes for Living assets will prioritise certainty and speed to income regardless of the Living asset type. A secondary theme will continue to be around diversification within the Living sector. Capital is moving between housing typologies, across geographies and customer segments to deliver defensive income streams sooner,ā Mr Papaleo said.
āInstitutional capital will play a key role in supporting the delivery of Living options critical to satisfying the changing nature of demand from the existing population base brought by changing demographics and migration patterns.ā
