Colliers have brokered a full floor tenant into Westralia Square

14 December 2022

A global leader in the delivery of offshore projects and services for the energy industry is set to move into Westralia Square.

Colliers National Director Office Leasing, Jemma Hutchinson, brokered the direct deal with Subsea7 and GDI across Level 15, a full floor of 1,882.2sqm, with a brand-new fit-out that was built by Ryder Projects.

The off-market deal was a case of “sometimes the shoe just fits”, according to Ms Hutchinson, with strong market sentiment we are seeing tenants continue to expand across a broad range of sectors.

“Understanding an expanding tenant’s requirement and finding a solution that works for all parties” Ms Hutchinson said.

“On top of this, a workplace which encourages staff to enjoy the office and an open environment for a staff hub were some of the key selling features of Level 15, Westralia Square.”

“Tenants are still seeking that flight to quality and the larger floor plates are starting to be of high demand again as the office market heats up with expansion needs.”

Located in one of Perth’s premier CBD locations adjacent to Brookfield Place, GDI have recently undertaken a major refurbishment and upgrade of the Westralia Square building and it’s immediate precinct.

This new leasing fills the building to and including level 15, boasts an “A” list of tenants now in occupancy. Westralia Square is now closing in on full occupancy, with advanced negotiations underway on the remaining 4 top floors.

Accessible to major transport hubs and offering a year-round cultural, dining and retail experience, Westralia Square is set to continue to benefit from local growth and expansion.

Commenting on the transaction, GDI’s Managing Director, Steve Gillard said “Jemma has done a magnificent job in concluding this transaction. Her understanding of both our needs and that of the tenant was the catalyst to a win / win outcome.”

Since launching their WA business in January 2022, Colliers have leased over 9,982sqm of direct brokered deals.
