Colliers Appoints Market Leader Sam Hindmarsh as Head of Industrial & Retail Transaction Advisory for NSW and QLD

Former Metcash leader set to scale Colliers’ transaction and strategic portfolio management offering across two major asset classes.
Leading diversified professional services and investment management company Colliers is pleased to announce the appointment of Sam Hindmarsh as Head of Industrial & Retail Transaction Advisory for NSW and QLD within their Occupier Services division.
Sam officially joins Colliers in mid-October and will be based in their Sydney CBD office. Sam is a highly respected market leader with over 25 years of transactional property expertise across the UK and Australia. Sam joins the Colliers Occupier Services leadership team from Metcash, where he was General Manager of Property. In this role for over a decade he was responsible for their 15 brands including IGA, Mitre 10, Total Tools, Cellarbrations, and respective Distribution Centres across Australia.
During his tenure, Sam successfully opened more than 450 + supermarkets, and was the property lead in major M&A activity including Mitre 10, Franklins and Superior Food Group and was instrumental in negotiating and delivering some of the largest distribution centre (DC) transactions in the last 5 years in their respective states, including Australia’s largest single level DC in Truganina, Victoria in June 2024.
