Charter Keck Cramer Establishes Canberra Office

The firm welcomes Amanda Falahey and Luke Pilkington to its growing national advisory team, strengthening its capacity to support government and private sector clients across the ACT and beyond

This move represents a deliberate investment in embedding capability where national property decisions are made. As the core of Federal Government and home to major national institutions, Canberra requires advisors who understand its procurement frameworks, probity standards and policy environment.

Establishing presence in the ACT strengthens Charter Keck Cramer’s ability to support Federal and ACT Government agencies, national institutions and private sector clients, combining local expertise with the depth of its multidisciplinary national platform.

Leading the Canberra office is Amanda Falahey, who joins as Director – Advisory. A highly regarded ACT-based property advisor with more than 20 years’ experience, Amanda has advised Federal and ACT Government agencies, institutional clients and private organisations across commercial, retail and industrial markets. Her expertise spans transaction management, accommodation strategy, lease negotiation, procurement and portfolio planning, with extensive experience operating within structured government frameworks and delivering rigorous, evidence-based advice.

Joining her is Luke Pilkington as Associate Director – Advisory. A Canberra-based development and commercial property specialist, Luke brings strong capability in development feasibility, highest and best use analysis, business case development and commercial modelling. He has worked across government and private sector engagements, providing disciplined, decision-ready advice that supports defensible outcomes in complex environments.

The opening forms part of the firm’s broader strategy of investing in senior specialist capability across key markets, following the recent establishment of its Sydney advisory team led by Mark Daniel.

“Our Canberra office is a strategic investment in capability, not simply a geographic expansion. Amanda and Luke are highly regarded Canberra professionals who understand how government operates and how property decisions are shaped within this market,” said Peter Hutchins, Chief Executive of Charter Keck Cramer.

“As an independent, conflict-free advisory firm, we provide advice that is transparent, evidence-based and aligned solely to our clients’ objectives. In Canberra, that independence is particularly important.”

Charter Keck Cramer operates entirely free from transactional conflicts. For government and institutional clients this independence provides clarity and confidence.

Importantly, the Canberra team is built on genuine local experience. Amanda Falahey and Luke Pilkington are established ACT-based advisors with deep knowledge of government processes, market dynamics and stakeholder environments.

Amanda Falahey added, “Having worked in the Canberra market for many years, I’m pleased to be joining Charter Keck Cramer at an important stage in the firm’s growth. The firm’s independence and national capability align strongly with my approach to delivering clear, commercially grounded advice. Establishing a Canberra presence creates a strong platform to support government and institutional clients both locally and nationally.”
